About Bernadette Nelson, Founder and Principal
Bernadette Nelson, principal
of Studio B/Visual Communication in Norwalk, Connecticut, is a veteran graphic and website designer with more than 20 years of experience. She helps clients build their businesses in print and online, creating effective logos, marketing communications and sales materials, and websites. On web projects she provides a rare combination of web design and coding skills.
Nelson combines an intense and visionary graphic design eye with a logical sense of information organization that contributes to clear communication. An acute listener, she quickly understands client objectives and translates them into appropriate graphical representations. Her problem-solving nature welcomes complex design and communications challenges for which she consistently develops unique, outside-the-box solutions.
A native of Paris, France, and a graduate of the prestigious Ecole Estienne — Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Industries Graphiques, she began her graphic design career working on global brands including Lanvin Perfumes and Fashion. Fluent in English as well as French, she also works in other languages. Her multicultural, multilingual capabilities and experience help her serve the needs of international businesses.
Prior to founding her own graphic and web design studio in 1997, Nelson worked with a firm in Stamford (CT), where she created advertising and marketing materials for Pitney Bowes, GTE’s Main Street Interactive Television, and other corporate clients. She has successfully completed thousands of projects — from concept to final production — for clients in many industries, including medical products/healthcare, technology, marketing, education and nonprofit.
